Tribunal Advocate Training

registration form

About the Training

We invite you to participate in a training session to serve as Advocates for those who have been divorced and are now seeking clarification of their marital status. The primary goal of the Advocate is to minister to the Petitioner or the Respondent.

Topics covered will be a brief overview of the theology and canon law of marriage, the types of marriages cases, grounds for invalidity, and the process. Our hope is this day will provide practical help to you as you assist your parishioners in preparing a case for the Tribunal.

Note: Those Advocates who have been previously trained are welcome to attend for an update.

Mission Statement

"To protect the rights and dignity of each person and to foster healing and spiritual growth through the compassionate and just application of Church law in the ministry of serving God’s people."
